Extra Charges if Applicable:
The client agrees to pay for any accidents or damage caused by client, their guests or pets to artist’s equipment or supplies. The artist will use reasonable care but is not responsible for damage to clothing or property. The artist will not be liable for non-attendance due to incorrect booking details being provided, weather conditions, etc – should there be any changes to the time, date or location, these need to be confirmed in writing before the event. Returned cheques will incur charges. The unplanned overtime rate is £40 per hour, to be paid in full on the day. If the venue falls outside of our areas covered (High Wycombe and surrounding areas), a travel cost will be charged. All parking charges, if applicable, will be covered by the client and will be added to the final payment amount.
Cancellation Policy:
The artist must be notified of cancellations, in writing, as soon as possible. For cancellations less than two weeks away from the scheduled date – the artist must also be informed by phone. In the rare instance the artist is unable to attend, the artist will contact the client at the earliest possibility. The client will be offered a rescheduled date or full refund. In the case a refund is due, a cheque will be sent by post.
Set Up:
The artist will arrive approx. 15 - 20 minutes prior to agreed time. The client will be responsible for any parking fees or provide parking at the venue. The artist will bring their own table and chair, please ensure there is sufficient space for these items. Please arrange access to tap water. If the event is being held outdoors, please ensure the artist has cover. The client must ensure that there is parking available as close to the entrance of the building as possible, since the artist will have to carry heavy equipment in. Failure to do so may result in the artist not being set up on time. The artist is to have a 5 - 10 minute break every two hours. The client must provide assistance to watch equipment whilst loading/unloading and during breaks. The artist is present only as a painter and will not supervise children. The behaviour and safety of the children is the responsibility of the client/parent/carer/host. It is the client/host’s responsibility to manage and vet the face painting queue. Please direct children to the artist if there is space and refrain children if there is a crowd.
Packing Up:
The artist will stop work at the scheduled time. If additional work is requested and agreed then payment will need to be made immediately. The client will be expected to pay the full booking fee even if the client uses the artist for less time than booked for.
